Cramer Dev is looking for an experienced, passionate, and talented software engineer to work with our adept, distributed, and agile team. This is a contract or full time gig.

Our team has become renowned in our ability to bring creativity, expertise, and sound development practices to notable and ambitious startups. Our mission is to make our clients incredibly successful by developing and improving ideas into highly functional and usable web applications.

We're looking for someone who can jump in and take ownership of challenging application development and design problems. We do heavy work on engineering and building new applications as well as scaling existing apps as they grow. Because of this, you will need a proven understanding of database design principles along with a working knowledge of application and database servers. Most of our efforts happen within MVC frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails and CodeIgniter. We also have a few of our own frameworks that we jam on including one in server-side JavaScript. Since this is the web, you'll also need to know your way around JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery and Prototype), CSS, and HTML/XHTML.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write clean, beautiful, object orientated, and well documented code
• Inject leadership into the development team by stepping up and taking ownership of initiatives and issues in the application development process
• Innovate solutions to make our apps more efficient and our clients more successful

QUALIFICATIONS

• Uncanny ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
• Outstanding development skills on PHP5
• Ruby on Rails chops
• Appreciation for great design and beautiful websites
• A drive and willingness to work hard to be the best
